Deontay Wilder vs Bermane Stiverne Next Up For WBC Heavyweight Title
In a letter response to writer Bradley Dee at Boxing News 24 there has been clarification today on what will be happening next for the WBC Heavyweight Title from WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman:
(Letter Reply Sourced From Boxing News 24)
“Dear Mr Dee
The WBC stated clearly during the press conference , during the post fight releases that the ruling from the annual convention is what will be the official position of the WBC.
The mandatory contender is Deontay Wilder and he is in line to fight champion Stiverne next , unless he accepts to step aside to allow another fight to be considered for WBC sanctioning .
Sincere regards
Mauricio Sulaiman”
This is music to the ears of a lot of fight fans who may have been worried that a certain Wladimir Klitschko might have been able to somehow force his way to the front of the queue in front of the much deserving Wilder, in my opinion. Wilder earned his shot I feel having won his mandatory in great fashion when he did a number on Malik Scott.
This is an intriguing bout, no doubt. I’m not quite sure yet who I’m going with but at the moment my instinct is leaning towards the undefeated knock out artist in Wilder. Who’s knows though. I’ll be back to this one!
