Andy Lee vs Peter Quillin Weigh-In and Face Off
“Kid Chocolate” failed to make the official 160 lbs limit, which means he can’t win the title tonight

WBO middleweight champion Andy Lee came in at a ready 159.6 lbs and challenger Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin came in at a slightly over weight 161.6 lbs, on his first attempt at the scales.
He came back 90 minutes later to attempt to make weight again, however he weighed in a second time above the limit, this time at 160.6 lbs.
Being out of the ring for as long as Quillin has could have been a factor in this. Perhaps an early edge could go to Andy Lee, as Quillin would have really struggled to sweat down last night in his attempt to make the weight.
As a result of Quillin’s failed attempt to make weight, there will be no WBO title on the line for him tonight to challenge for. However, this is a fight that’s so good it doesn’t really even need a title to be honest!
