Silky Terence Crawford Stops Thomas Dulorme In 6
The fighting pride of Omaha, Nebraska moved to 26-0 (18KO) tonight after a beautiful boxing display that culminated in a scintillating knock out to become a two weight world champion and the new WBO light-welterweight belt holder.

Terence Crawford proved tonight why many are talking about him as a future pound for pound contender, when he took out Puerto Rican Thomas Dulorme in sublime fashion on his 140 lbs debut.
The question going into tonight was would Crawford’s power carry up from lightweight? It sure did. His hands were as fast as ever, his distance and timing was untouchable and he showed a killer instinct as good as I’ve seen in a while in professional boxing.
The fight started off in a gradual feeling out process, where Crawford essentially took the first two rounds off and studied Dulorme.
I gave the first two rounds to Dulorme based on work rate and aggression but it was clear by the way Crawford came out in the third, that he would be taking over from there on out.
His distance, head movement, foot work and feints began proving too much for the outmatched Dulorme and towards the end of the third Crawford dug in some hurtful body shots.
The fourth round continued in a similar vein and by the end of the round Crawford was clearly enjoying himself and landed some Mayweather’esque lead right hands.
The fifth was a slightly more subdued affair with Crawford showing good patience and composure after finishing the fourth round at such a high pace. A tight round, but the cleaner work done by Crawford for me.
The sixth round was when Crawford really turned it on and dropped Dulorme early on in the round with a beautiful left-right combination that sent him crashing to the canvas.
When he got up his eyes were clear but his legs were all over the place. Crawford showed great finishing skills to drop Dulorme twice again in the same round with a mixture of head and body combinations that prompted the referee to wave halt to the evening’s proceedings.
Crawford proved to me tonight that he’s already in the top ten pound for pound best fighters in the world. He has all the physical and technical attributes to continue to climb the elite level rankings in boxing, in my opinion.
A very special talent that will be very hard to beat on tonight’s form.
