Nearly 6 years of waiting are almost over. Here’s some snaps from the Mayweather vs Pacquiao final presser.

After the usual press conference rigmarole that included multiple thanks to various sponsors and other entities, to a a politician speech, to Bob Arum speaking of how HBO were the best network in the world, to Freddie Roach saying a few brief words, the two men who counted, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao took to the stage to say their pieces.
Both men were very humble, relaxed and happy to be there it seemed. It was one of the most polite press conferences I’ve ever come across anyway. No bad feelings or words were exchanged at all by either man.
Manny spoke of how he never thought he would see a day like this and be blessed so much by God, from going from sleeping on the streets and starving as a child, to the heights of this week’s event that has catapulted him to the top of world sport.
Mayweather was brief in his words and as he’s been throughout the build up to this, very serious. Even when the two faced off, Manny smiled at Floyd at one point (below) but no such pleasantries were reciprocated from the pound for pound king, just an icy cold glaze.
Below are some snaps from the final press conference, that was attended by an estimated 600 media representatives and was closed off to the general public.
Friday’s weigh-ins will be open to the public however, at a cost of $10 for admission (which is a first in big time boxing) in a bid to try to control crowd numbers.
