Frank Buglioni and Lee Markham Draw After Classic
“Wise Guy” and “Banjo” both fought a remarkable 10 round battle tonight in London.

It was a real war of attrition tonight in Wembley Arena between Frank Buglioni and Lee Markham for the WBO European super middleweight title. A genuinely great fight, that saw both men stand toe to toe for large periods of the contest.
The two men were 1-1 in the amateurs and after tonight, there was still nothing between the two after there first encounter in the pros been scored a draw.
The fight started and finished in a ferocious pace, with the theme of the night been Buglioni looking to keep it long and Markham pressing the action on the inside, with a remarkable passion at times.
In true champion form every time Markham seemed to land, Buglioni came firing back and dug in deep throughout the fight.
The two fought to a grandstand finish in the final round that brought fans to their feet, exchanging at will, with uppercuts, hooks and straight shots all flying in. Although the fight was scored a draw, a rematch is inevitable one would think.
I had it by a round for Frank Buglioni who just did enough I thought, with the cleaner work over the course of the ten rounds, but in truth it was a very close fight.
Fight fans certainly got value for their money tonight.
