Video: Argentinian boxer takes bizarre dive?

We came across this today, and felt compelled to share with fellow fight fans.

It isn’t often we come across something this strange and bizarre in the sport, but alas, these things rare their head from time to time.

It’s almost funny in a way, but in another way, it’s extremely concerning in that it perpetuates unwanted old stereotypes on the sport.

Last weekend just gone, saw the incredibly unusual knockout of a fighter who didn’t even seemed to get touched by a single punch.

Boxer Braulio Domínguez won a contest by knocking out Argentine Marcos Martinez on Saturday night at the Radisson Hotel in Montevideo, in well, rather controversial circumstances.

When the second round got under way, it appeared the man from Argentina looked as though he was able to dodge and evade some of his opponents’ blows, where none really looked like the were connecting, only for him to dramatically hit the canvas all of a sudden.

The referee called the fight off as he couldn’t beat the count but a deafening silence in the audience almost spoke a thousand words, where people were clearly gob smacked.
