If you’re a hardcore boxing or just boxing fan in general, today’s your lucky day.

Widely regarded pound for pound contender Guillermo Rigondeaux has been out on the sidelines for quite some time due to different outside the ring problems and contractual disputes, but the coast is finally clear for one of boxing’s most gifted exponents to return to what he does best, on a mega card next weekend – as reported by Dan Rafael:
The Cuban maestro is set to make his glorious return to the shores of the noble art, after an extended hiatus.
This news comes just one week from the eagerly anticipated Canelo Alvarez vs Miguel Cotto showdown and now with the addition of one of boxing’s greatest ever amateur fighters and current modern day professional great, things just got a whole lot more interesting.
While coming into the final stages of his career as a professional, Rigondeaux still has more than enough skill one would think to contend with any of the top fighters at 122lbs and 126lbs and in the eyes of many, beat most of them.
Ring rust will be an interesting factor to watch out for next week, but for now, boxing fans can rest easily and enjoy this sweet, sweet news.
An opponent name is expected in the coming days.
