Super Welterweight Prospect Arrowsmith Believes He Has A Good Style For TV

154lbs Ricky Hatton prospect Reuben Arrowsmith (3-0) believes he has what it takes to be a big name one day.

The 19-year-old faces Maidenhead’s Sam Wall on Hatton Promotions’ and Black Country Boxing’s ‘Undefeated’ show in Walsall on Friday night, and is hoping another win will put him on the path to broadcast coverage.

Arrowsmith has won all three of his professional fights handily and with boxing legend Ricky Hatton in his corner, he feels it is only a matter of time before he appears on the undercard of a big televised bill. Ruben said:

“I think if I keep my head down in the gym and keep boxing well then I’ll get on a big show later in the year. I believe I’ve got a good style for TV because I’m an aggressive counter puncher, which is always good for the cameras. Ricky has got the connections to make it happen and I’ve got a good solid team behind me. All I’ve got to do is perform and sooner or later I’ll get on the bigger events.”

He concluded:

“I sell loads of tickets as well, which always helps. I think to get the opportunities in a few fights time, I’ll have to bring a crowd and I know I can definitely do that. All that said, I can’t look beyond Sam Wall this Friday. I don’t know much about him, but I’m comfortable with fight whoever is put in front of me because I fought in the best in the country as an amateur and I never knew who I was boxing from one day to the next in tournaments.”
