The highly anticipated announcement on where the heavyweight title rematch would be contested came at 10am this morning via trainer Peter Fury’s twitter account, with a full announcement to go out at 12pm today.

Since their last fight in Germany back in November, it had taken some time to get the contractual rematch negotiated but alas, on the eve of another heavyweight title fight between Charles Martin and Anthony Joshua, we now know the fight will take place in the UK:
Speculation will now turn to Old Trafford as the potential venue, with previous talks that the fight would definitely have to take place in a football stadium.
With this weekend’s IBF heavyweight title fight in London between champion Charles Martin and challenger Anthony Joshua, it’s safe to say heavyweight boxing is really buzzing in Britain at the moment.
