Confirmed: Tony Bellew To Get Dream Stadium Fight

‘The Bomber’ is about to get his life long wish of fighting for a world title as his beloved Everton football club’s home ground of Goodison Park.

Recently speculation came about regarding the stadium fight following initial reports and interviews from Bellew speaking about how much he would like to fight at Goodison Park, but the man himself has now pinned a Twitter to his profile on Twitter confirming that he will indeed be boxing for the WBC title at the ground:

With the fight only being next month, one would imagine an opponent announcement and formal press conference will have to take place rather quickly to facilitate promotion of the fight, but it is widely expected that that name will be Illunga Makubu – where him and Bellew are expected to fight for the vacant WBC cruiserweight title.

This will come as good news for loyal Bellew supporters who have seen their man fall short on multiple world title challenges in the past against Nathan Cleverly (their first fight) and Adonis Stevenson.
