The courageous British middleweight has called it a day on his (active) boxing career on Twitter.
Nick Blackwell has made tremendous strides recently in his recovery since his involvement in the now well publicised brutal encounter he had in the ring with Chris Eubank Jr.
But speaking on Twitter, Nick has said that he will not be fighting again:
In a classy display, Blackwell also tweeted at his last opponent Eubank Jr – to say there was:
“No hard feelings.”
The fight between Blackwell and Eubank Jr caused world news at the time, following the tragic aftermath that saw Blackwell suffer a bleed on the brain which temporarily forced him into an induced coma in hospital.
However, he was successfully awoken from the coma recently and is well on track to now make what looks like will be a speedy and full recovery, thankfully.
Everyone at Boxing News and Views would like to wish Nick Blackwell all the very best for the future in whatever he chooses to do next in life.
