Dominic Breazeale challenges IBF Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua this Saturday night in London’s 02 Arena.
The American has been in confident mood in the lead up to this weekend’s heavyweight title fight, certainly giving off a vocal belief in himself in his interviews and media appearances thus far.
In his latest chat with Matchroom Sport, Breazeale has hit out at how easy he thinks his British counterpart has had things in his boxing career to date and in particular, how he won his belt last time out against Charles Martin:
“I think he’s had it easy so far, fighting in the Olympics in his backyard, having the judges there in his backyard. Even as a professional, he fought a guy in Charles Martin that really didn’t show up fight night. Charles himself had an easy road and path to the title with the whole slip and fall against Vyacheslav Glazkov.”
Joshua for his part has exhibited his usual cool demeanor for the most part in the build-up to the fight, although he did seem to get rattled once when the two men had an early press conference to announce the fight.
Breazeale will physically possess very similar height and reach dimensions to Joshua on the night, although Joshua will start as a heavy favourite with the bookmakers over Dominic Breazeale.
