Chris Eubank Jr and Gennady Golovkin might not have engaged in the ring just yet, but Eubank Jr has commenced the trash talk from his end on Twitter.
Fight fans are trying to remain patient as talks continue to go on between both fighters’ teams – to try to get the fight done and over the line.
WBA (regular) middleweight champion Danny Jacobs called out Gennady Golovkin on Twitter yesterday in a move seen by some fans as a bit of a stunt, given the fact ‘GGG’ is now apparently so close to finding an opponent in Eubank Jr.
Today however, Golovkin seemed to leave the door open to multiple fighters with this questions to his fans:
Who’s ready for a #fight? #whosnext
— Gennady Golovkin (@GGGBoxing) July 2, 2016
This prompted a swift response from Chris Eubank Jr who hopped on Twitter and replied:
@GGGBoxing you already know who & what’s next. I’m next & your belts are going to be ripped away from you & kept in the UK for a LONG time.
— Chris Eubank Jr (@ChrisEubankJr) July 2, 2016
Surely, surely this fight is getting close to being made a reality at this point.
It’s not Canelo up next for Golovkin, like most fans wanted to see, but Eubank Jr is still an intriguing fight and to be fair to the Englishman, must be commended if he steps up to the plate and actually signs the contract to fight the man that nobody seemingly wants to.
