Pound for pound rated flyweight king Roman Gonzalez to challenge for belts in fourth weight class in pursuit of the big fights.
Roman Gonzalez is rated by many within the boxing world as the very best fighter in the sport at the moment, pound for pound.
But despite his precocious boxing skills and deserved reputation within the sport, he has still struggled to garner large recognition for a variety of reasons.
One of the main ones could be that he is competing at flyweight and traditionally the very light weight classes in boxing have struggled to get (unfairly) the exposure of the largeer weight classes in the past.
It looks like now that Gonzalez might be moving up a weight class in a bid to get his name out there more, with ESPN’s Dan Rafael reporting the following on Twitter:
Done deal: P4P king @chocolatitobox will move to face Carlos Cuadras for a title in his 4th division 9/10 at @theforum on @HBOboxing#boxing

A move up to super-flyweight could be just what Gonzalez (45-0-38KO) needs in terms of building his profile. The dynamite flyweight king has looked almost unstoppable thus far in his professional career.
Here are some of his best moments so far:
