In recent times former 147lbs contender Chris van Heerden had snippets of himself and Conor McGregor sparring emerge online, but the boxer has now shared the full unedited video of the spar himself.
It has now become apparent that recent speculation that linked MMA / UFC star Conor McGregor with an appearance in the boxing world against Floyd Mayweather was indeed just that, speculation.
McGregor is now readying himself for his next UFC fight and Floyd Mayweather doesn’t seem any closer to a return to a boxing ring, just yet.
With rumours of the pair being unable to reach a financial split for such a boxing match circulating, to some even mentioning that the talk of a bout was simply a cynical PR move by both men to drum up some publicity – the buzz is no longer there for it.
But an interesting video of a professional boxer Chris van Heerden sparring McGregor emerging does give a small bit of insight into the evaluation of the boxing skills of Irishman McGregor.
Welterweight southpaw van Heerden (24-2-1-12KO) also left an extensive message on social media as to what really went down in his view.
