Max Kellerman gives a very interesting opinion on where he believes boxing is as a sport below after Terence Crawford’s dominating win over Viktor Postol last weekend, elevating him higher in many people’s pound for pound rankings.
Boxing has always been a sport that has intrigued society, right the way back from it’s creation of it’s current form in professional boxing under the rules known as the Marquess of Queensberry.
It’s a sport that evokes ample emotion in people whether positive or negative and the good the sport does outside of the ring for youngsters has been been proven over many years.
But at it’s route, it’s core, as to why people watch boxing and indeed combat sports to some extent for many people, is the want to find out who in fact is the best fighter.
Terence Crawford last weekend proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is the best junior welterweight on Earth and HBO boxing commentator Max Kellerman discussed what might be next for him on ESPN – but also gave a really interesting analysis on the sport of professional boxing as a whole at one point:
