The Frampton Santa Cruz TV ratings have been released via the Nielson Ratings.
The card was fairly solid too, it must be said, with popular local New Yorker Paulie Malinaggi and the very talented Mikey Garcia also on the bill.
Findings that have been released via the Nielson Ratings showed the fight averaged 480,000 viewers on Showtime, which made it the third most watched fight of the year so far on the network.
It is hard to say how these numbers really stack up these days in the era of the internet, as they probably do not account for a number of factors such as online streaming, etc.
Nielson Ratings in this regard might be becoming slightly dated as a consequence, but nonetheless are still a decent indicator of TV performance of events.
After such an entertaining fight at the weekend, it will be interesting to see what kind of numbers newly crowned WBA featherweight Frampton pulls next time out.
