Undefeated Charles Natal Set To Splash In The Bay

Charlie ‘Mr. Hollywood’ Natal is a prospect in the States we’ve been keeping an eye on for a quite some time at Boxing News and Views. A young man with all the natural ability and necessary pugilistic tools to make it to the very top.

Recently according to our sources we understand Natal has wrapped up his last training camp in Cleveland and is close to securing his next opponent for an anticipated date in October.

I’ve had the opportunity to track the progress of Natal in recent months and after watching some of his recent fights and indeed sparring preparation, I’m convinced this prospect will turn into the real deal.

The Puerto Rican in many ways appears to have a similar style to fellow countryman and boxing great Miguel Cotto, in terms of his patience, lateral movement and ability to mix up his punch variation in his combinations and well timed attacks, while still been cognisant of his defence.

Charlie who is trained by the vastly respected Eddie Croft is in very good hands too.

Croft, an excellent fighter in his own career having fought Hall of Fame fighters including Erik Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera, is imparting the knowledge, discipline and professionalism on Natal that he needs at this early stage of his prizefighting career.

Unbeaten super-welterweight Natal (8-0-2-2KO) at 24 years of age is coming into a very important part of his development as a professional fighter, which at the same time will also be very exciting to watch unfold as he looks to take things to the next level.

He’s now due to return to training with Eddie Croft soon at pound for pound boxing great Andre Ward’s gym in the Bay Area in San Francisco.

This precociously skilled young man is set to make a splash in the Bay Area before the year is a out, an up and coming protagonist who seems more experienced than his years suggest, with the ring generalship and confidence he often displays from what I’ve seen.

Interestingly, Natal is also already ranked in the top five Puerto Rican super-welterweights at the moment by records website Boxrec – a feat that says a lot in itself considering the calibre of the company he is keeping on it:

Charles Natal

I don’t put my neck on the line often in terms of backing prospects to go all the way but you can quote me on this, Charlie Natal – remember the name.

Here’s a taste of why this young fighter is been tipped for big things in the sport behind the scenes in the boxing industry at the moment:
