Eddie Hearn Confident of Joshua vs Klitschko For November 26th

The news of a potential heavyweight bonanza between Anthony Joshua vs Klitschko came out of left field recently following Tyson Fury withdrawing from his fight with Klitschko, but this potential replacement fight has piqued interest of fans already, taking another positive twist today.

Joshua vs Klitschko represents a big fight, no doubt about it. Two heavyweights with big names, knockout power and the whole story line of the young lion against the older lion.

They’ve previously sparred together previously, with Joshua in his early pro career (which he’s still in to be fair) jetting out to Klitschko’s camp in the past for preparation and learning his craft.

It’s been a busy year for Joshua, who’s won the IBF world title, defended it and even before those two fights, defeated a long-time rival in Dillian Whyte in what proved to be a very popular bout for fans.

The same can’t be said for Klitschko however, who since losing his titles to Tyson Fury last November has not fought once.

If there is anything to stop this fight from taking place soon, I just wonder will Klitschko wait to see what is going to happen with Fury’s heavyweight titles with the sanctioning bodies and wait out a while longer, rather than getting in the ring with Joshua as a voluntary challenger and possibly taking a very unfavourable purse split.

Then again though, this fight is massive on pay per view and you’d imagine whatever split he gets will compensate him well in such a fight.

British and indeed world boxing fans are now familiar with both men. This fight would likely sell out in minutes.

Speaking today on Sky Sports promoter of Joshua, Eddie Hearn, has spoken confidently about the fight being made in November:

Fingers crossed. A genuinely exciting heavyweight fight.
