Keith Thurman and Danny Garcia at long last look ready to get it on in the ring come next year.
The two have been vocal on one another to put it mildly in recent times, with Thurman consistently levelling the ‘cherry picker’ argument against Garcia – claiming he has been picking and choosing weaker opponents than he should have.
It was announced yesterday that Garcia will take on Samuel Vargas next month on November 12th, but it appears according to journalist Mike Coppinger that that fight will just be a warm up for the Thurman showown next March:

This will be music to the ears of not just American boxing fans but fight fans the world over, who have long wanted to see these two undefeated stars throw down.
Thurman was involved in a fight of the year candidate this year against Shawn Porter, a bout shown on Premier Boxing Champions that saw Thurman win a decision after twelve exhilarating rounds of action.
From a stylistic perspective, a Keith Thurman and Danny Garcia welterweight collision has all the necessary ingredients to make the fight a more than entertaining one.
Two guys who like to come forward, with aggressive, fan-friendly styles, quite capable of delivering a knockout blow with a single, hard punch.
With a combined 40 professional knockouts between them (at the time of this article) the bout could make for a real blood and guts affair for as long as it lasts.
Both men possess fairly solid punch resistance though too, it must be said, adding further potential to the contest being a twelve round slug fest.
Each fighter has a solid, polished boxing skill set at this point in their respective careers on top of this. The best fighting the best in their primes.
Certainly one to look forward to in early 2017.
