Bernard Hopkins vs Joe Smith was speculated to be the final fight for the ‘Alien’ last week but now it looks almost certain to be the case.
Words about Hopkins taking on Smith first surfaced last week but now Joe Smith on his Twitter has said the news is official:

New York light-heavyweight Smith will enjoy a near 25 year youth advantage in the fight. But as Hopkins’ career has demonstrated time and time again, age is only a number.
The renowned boxer re-tweeted a tweet last night announcing that mentioned he will fight on December 17th in Hollywood – although no opponent was stated:

It looks pretty much though that it will be Smith and recently Hopkins was seen back in training get ready for a fight which many are saying will be his final outing inside a professional boxing ring.
It it does prove to be his final case what a career it’s been.
At 51 years of age, just shy of his 52nd birthday next January, you wouldn’t put it past Hopkins going out with a win in impressive fashion.
