It looks like Parker vs Ruiz will now be happening next up for Tyson Fury’s recently vacated WBO heavyweight title.
In recent weeks the Joseph Parker vs Andy Ruiz fight was speculated to be in the works by the organisation for a date of December 10th in New Zealand.
Respected journalist Dan Rafael of ESPN has now reported according to his source – that this is likely to be the case.
What an excellent fight between two young, undefeated, up and coming heavyweight contenders who represent part of the new heavyweight generation breaking through at the moment at the top of the division.
Two big hitters too which promises for fireworks.
27 year old Ruiz (29-0-19KO) hails originally from Mexicali in Baja California, Mexico but now fights out of California in the USA.

Parker (21-0-18KO) despite only being 24 years of age, has built up a quick reputation in world boxing in recent years for his heavy hands and excellent speed for a big man.
He’s been linked with a fight with IBF champion Anthony Joshua a lot this past year but make no mistake, if he steps into the ring with Andy Ruiz Jr he will have to still be at his very best to come out with the win and a version of the world title.
