Mexican-American Brandon Rios says on social media that he has now parted company with his former promoter Top Rank.
Brandon Rios (33-3-1-24KO) was last in the ring nearly a full year ago when he was defeated by TKO by Timothy Bradley for the WBO welterweight title on November 7th, 2015.
Since then Rios has experienced a frustrating time of inactivity and at 30 years of age is in a hurry to stay busy during his final prime years as a professional fighter.
Speaking on Instagram yesterday Rios has said:
My attorney advised me today I am no longer under a promotional contract with Top Rank!

It is not known who Brandon Rios will be joining up with from a promotional perspective now or when indeed he will next fight again.
One would think he would need to take a fight against someone below top world championship level next up due to ring rust and needing to get his confidence back from his last defeat.
Rios has tasted defeat three times in his 12 year pro career so far, but only against top fighters such as Manny Pacquiao, Tim Bradley and Mike Alvarado (of which was a memorable war).
