Ruslan Provodnikov sparring a heavyweight. He’s known for his warrior spirit and courage but this perhaps is taking things to an almost crazy level.
The Russian 140lbs contender (25-5-18KO) now fighting out of California in the US last fought in June when he dropped a unanimous decision loss to John Molina Jr.
He has been in some notable wars in recent years and has always been willing to take on the best fighters available to him.
There’s a reason he’s known as ‘The Siberian Rocky’.
This reputation of bravery has been hard won and this week in training he posted this almost crazy slug fest style video that sees Ruslan Provodnikov sparring a heavyweight fighter:

The Rocky music in the background is apt considering the size difference between the two men.
Ruslan Provodnikov appears to more than hold his own against his larger foe above, landing some nice body shots and left hooks in particular – while also pushing his larger adversary back on more than one occasion.
While it is not uncommon for fighters in different weight categories to spar one another in preparation for fights, I can’t recall ever hearing about a super-lightweight spar with a heavyweight.
