Bob Arum Wants Pacquiao vs Lomachenko Fight

Pacquiao vs Lomachenko – has a ring to it doesn’t it?

Both men are currently deep in preparations for their next upcoming fights in November firstly however.

With Pacquiao taking on Jessie Vargas and Vasyl Lomachenko taking on Nicholas Walters in a particularly mouthwatering showdown next month.

Both are considered boxing legends of the modern boxing era.

Pacquiao has become an eight-weight world champion and Lomachenko become a two-weight world champion inside 7 pro fights, on top of a stellar amateur career that saw him become a double Olympic and double world amateur champion.

Speaking to Marcos Villegas of Fight Hub promoter to Pacquiao Bob Arum has said he’d love to make the fight:

“That’s a fight I want to see more than any other fight that’s out there. Manny isn’t a 147 (pounder) they would fight between 135lbs and 140lbs. No it won’t (weight) be any issue at all. That’s the least of the problems. People don’t believe it. I give Manny Pacquiao the options and he picks the opponent. Lomachencko has got a real tough fight coming up in Walters and Crawford is going to fight by December 10th so either of them are real possibilities.”

Music to the ears of boxing fans.

From a clash of styles perspective you’d have two very experienced, explosive and highly accomplished warriors stepping in the ring against one another.

One I’d certainly pay to watch. For the full interview check it out here via the Fight Hub YouTube channel:
