Confirmed: Anthony Joshua vs Eric Molina December 10th

Anthony Joshua vs Eric Molina for the IBF heavyweight title has been officially confirmed after weeks of speculation surrounding who the champions’s next opponent would be.

The fight will be a Sky Sports Box Office event in the UK and Ireland and will also be shown live on Showtime in the USA.

Joshua (17-0-17KO) last fought in June when he stopped American Dominic Breazeale inside the distance at the O2 Arena in London.

This will mark the third American opponent Joshua has faced on the trot after initially winning the IBF title earlier this year in a fight against Charles Martin.

Joshua’s opponent Eric Molina (25-3-19KO) will be known to some fight fans for giving current WBC champion Deontay Wilder a tough fight last year before ultimately getting stopped in the 9th round.

The undercard for the event will have Dillian Whyte against Dereck Chisora as the co-main event in the heavyweight division, as well as featuring former world champion Scott Quigg (at featherweight) against an opponent to be confirmed.

Ireland’s Katie Taylor will also feature on the show, as well as world title action that will see Kal Yafai looking to win the WBA super-flyweight title against Luis Concepcion.
