Middleweight Contender Thinks Danny Garcia Might Stop Thurman

Keith Thurman vs Danny Garcia is just a few short months away now. The undefeated American welterweights clash in a world title unification on March 4th, 2017.

Before the mouthwatering showdown can happen though Garcia must get past Sammie Vargas next weekend in his home state in a keep busy fight.

The Garcia vs Thurman match is one that has really got fans excited with the clash of styles, undefeated records and prime of their respective careers all involved ahead of the fight.

There is also an added edge going into the bout after months of verbal assaults on one another. They are not going to be on either’s Christmas card list this year.

Both men can definitely bang. That is without question.

As things stand today (prior to Garcia fighting Vargas) both Thurman and Garcia share a combined total of 40 knockouts on their professional boxing resumes.

One middleweight contender who has shared the ring with the division’s best banger and all round fighter Gennady Golovkin, believes power will be a big factor in the fight.

He is of course Curtis Stevens, a guy who knows how to punch himself mind you. Speaking to Fight Hype and other members of the media Stevens said on the fight that:

“We saw that Thurman can be hurt and we saw that Garcia got some little flaws to him too. I like Garcia’s hook. We have not seen Thurman get tested yet either. If Garcia hits him with one of them blind, them Stevens hooks, Thurman might go! But I don’t know. I’m a fan of boxing so I like to see all the great fights happen.”

An interesting breakdown from a big puncher in his own right. Garcia vs Thurman promises to be almost guaranteed fireworks really, when you look at their past fights and particularly their styles.
