Danny Garcia and Keith Thurman will get it on in the ring officially next March but things almost boiled over before then this weekend following Garcia’s latest win.
Garcia stopped Samuel Vargas in the 7th round this weekend in his home State of Philadelphia.
Straight after the fight attention turned to the Danny Garcia and Keith Thurman welterweight world title showdown in the new year.
It’s a fight that’s been talked about for some time this year but now fans are finally within touching distance of seeing two of the top welterweights from America and indeed the world today, go at it in their primes next year.
Garcia’s father Angel Garcia is quite the character as everyone knows in the boxing business, always by his son’s side as his trainer and close friend.
This was the case again straight after the fight last night when a certain Keith Thurman confronted his son ringside:

The venom between the two was almost palpable from the videos that have emerged since last night.
This welterweight collision is bubbling away day by day. No doubt both men will be training ferociously straight through the holidays and Christmas this year.
