Few are perhaps more qualified to call and analyse the Andre Ward v Kovalev fight than Bernard Hopkins. A man who has shared the ring in the past with Kovalev, still an active fighter himself (incredibly at the age of 51) and a knowledge base on the sport that is pretty much unrivalled.
Hopkins himself is due to have the final fight of his legendary career next month in California against New York light-heavyweight Joe Smith Jr.
Before that however he is has been drafted in by the folks at HBO on analyst duties ahead of this weekend’s big fight in Las Vegas between Sergey Kovalev and Andre Ward.
