Watch: Conor McGregor Wants $100 Million For Mayweather Boxing Match

A potential McGregor Mayweather fight has been flooding social media timelines all this week amid fresh back and forth jibes at one another in the media. Now Conor McGregor wants $100 million for the pair to step in there for a boxing match.

While McGregor wants a big payday Mayweather has been dismissive in recent days on the overall topic of the Irishman.

But at the same time he has not ruled anything out.

Nicknamed ‘Money’ perhaps if he sees the gigantic financial return that a McGregor hyped up boxing event would create worldwide, he may just give it a bit more thought one would suspect.

Conor McGregor wants $100 million for it to happen however if they get down to negotiations:

Quite the chunk of change wanted there, but perhaps not out of the realms of possibility. Just how big would a Mayweather McGregor really be in terms of pay per view?

Well, you’d have to consider that it would attract not just fans of boxing and MMA but also many casual sports fans interested in seeing what these two characters could muster up.

There’s no denying that if it did happen, both men with their extensive salesmanship ability of hyping fights could make the fight quite the interest generator.

If Mayweather took home nearly $300 million dollars as some suggested he did for his fight with Manny Pacquiao in 2015, maybe a fight with McGregor could generate something on a similar level for him.

In theory though, the event between Mayweather and McGregor could be an even bigger one than the Mayweather – Pacquiao (disappointment) was due to it’s crossover nature between different industries.

If they did get serious about getting down to actually making this media circus a reality, it would be interesting to see who would promote it, or would it be done as a co-promotion between the UFC and Mayweather Promotions.

Based on interest I’ve seen online surrounding this hyped up potential showdown this week alone, perhaps the $100 million figure Conor McGregor wants isn’t that unreasonable given the scale of interest so far.
