Does a picture paint a thousand words? Some say they do. Well a video clip might paint a hundred thousand if you are to read into what some are saying online about this Andre Ward surprised face – the moment he knew he had got the decision against Sergey Kovalev.
It was a close, good fight. I think that much most people will agree on.
It had a knockdown, heavy punches were landed and for the sweet science purists – it pitted an excellent chess battle between two of the sport’s premier fighters in the world today.
Pound for pound.

Straight after the fight calls for a rematch were rampant as the scale of the difference of opinion between fans and industry insiders alike, was considerable to say the least.
Ward was put down for only the second time of his professional career in the second round of the fight. No doubt if a rematch happens next year Kovalev won’t be looking to leave it in the judges’ hands again.
