A look at tonight’s Kid Galahad boxing result and round by round report from Wales.
The Kid Galahad boxing result went in the Sheffield man’s favor tonight after he continued his return to the ring after a significant period of inactivity overall during the last couple of years – in what has been a frustrating time for various reasons.
It was the undefeated Galahad’s third fight of 2016 but before that he had not actually boxed since 2014 – so he was still very much on the comeback trail in terms of getting active at a high level again.
The former European super-bantamweight champion took on Spaniard Reynaldo Mora at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales.
The first round got off to a bit of a strange start as Mora needed assistance with his protector under his shorts but after an odd couple of minutes, action resumed on BoxNation.
The Ingle trained Galahad won the first round comfortably in what was really just a feeling out process for the most part, with Galahad controlling the center of the ring.
The 26 year old started pumping the jab in the 2nd round and switched stance to southpaw and immediately had success with the left hand – dropping Mora with a crisp left hand.
The 2nd round showed the gap in class between the two becoming evident as Galahad transitioned from orthodox to southpaw stances with relative ease and mixing up his shots well.
The left hand down the middle from the southpaw stance in particular worked well.
Galahad started to slip into his groove in the third, outclassing Mora and making him miss with ease and dropping him with a left hook to the body.
Galahad then landed a couple of nice right counters before dropping Mora again with a body shot – prompting the referee to wave off proceedings.
With the win tonight Galahad improved his professional record to 21-0 (12KO).
