Guillermo Rigondeaux on Bob Arum, bringing up the Nonito Donaire fight a few years back, calling out Vasyl Lomachenko for a catchweight fight and more.
It’s all kicking off on Guillermo Rigondeaux’s Twitter feed tonight as the Cuban boxing great takes it to promoter Bob Arum and his fighter Vasyl Lomachenko in a real online tirade of tweets.
Following Lomachenko’s master piece victory over Nicholas Walters in Las Vegas, we spoke about here how a Lomachenko vs Rigondeaux fight is one of the best fights in boxing that can be made at the moment.
Now the man himself is banging the drum for the fight directly to the Arum and Lomachenko:
@vasyllomachenko не тільки я кращий боксер. Я також Invicto. чекає вас в catchweight pic.twitter.com/ICWdWFurog
— Guillermo Rigondeaux (@RigoElChacal305) November 28, 2016
That translates in English to:
“vasyllomachenko not only am I the best Boxer. I also Invicto. waiting for you in catchweight”
Fighting words from Rigo.
He’s also gone back to one of his best ever performances in a boxing ring (certainly as a professional) when he dethroned former pound for pound rated Nonito Donaire a number of years back – when he was promoted by Arum’s Top Rank.
Rigondeaux has made light of Arum’s praise for Lomachenko as someone who boxes like he is in the Matrix movie, and questioned Arum on why he didn’t say the same about him when he beat former Fighter of the Year Donaire in the past:
@BobArum @TooFred @vasyllomachenko @HBO U NEVER SAY THAT ABOUT ME WHEN I BEAT Nonito. Actually u never say da about @FloydMayweather either.

It’s clear there is some bitterness and resentment left over from when the two worked together. He’s continued his onslaught at the 84 year old promoter with the following:
Guillermo Rigondeaux on Bob Arum and Lomachenko:
Who is more scared of the possible catchweight #RigoLoma?
