Max Kellerman Lomachenko Breakdown of Nicholas Walters Beating

Here is the post-fight Max Kellerman Lomachenko analysis from the HBO analyst after the Ukrainian super-featherweight world champion puts on a clinic against Nicholas Walters.

Plaudits have been plentiful since Vasyl Lomachenko’s hammering of Nicholas Walters at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

He beat Walters into quitting the fight ultimately.

Not for the first time in a Lomachenko fight, Walters didn’t know what hit him as other Lomachenko opponents had also experienced in the past.

Punches were coming from every angle, in bunches and were loaded with spite from a truly precocious boxing technician.

It must be incredibly hard for even world class fighters to stop an onslaught like that from a man as talented as that, particularly once he gets going and into his rhythm.

HBO commentator Max Kellerman is a guy in my opinion who (usually) offers solid analysis on fights.

I know some may disagree with that and may have their views on Kellerman, but I enjoy his candid and boxing focused takes on fights and the sport of boxing and it’s characters in general.

Like this one on Oscar De La Hoya for example.

Here is the latest from him on ‘Hi Tech’:

Kellerman’s sentiments on the fight are indeed thoughts shared by many in terms of the ‘higher level’ Lomachenko is operating on.

At least compared to most fighters at the world class level.

Whether or not he is already the pound for pound number one fighter in the world though as Kellerman suggests above, remains to be seen.

He is certainly starting to look like it but a few more big name wins are needed for that illustrious mantle just yet.

An exciting time for boxing fans following this 28 year old’s career. An extraordinary operator who promises to deliver a big 2017.
