Guillermo Rigondeaux on Conor McGregor, the rest of the boxing champions near his weight class and more.
Rigondeaux has been in loud voice recently following super-featherweight world champion Vasyl Lomachenko’s most recent win over Nicholas Walters and talks among fans and even ourselves about how a fight between the two would be a good one followed.
Alas, Lomachenko’s promoter Bob Arum doesn’t feel like it would be a good fight so the chances of seeing it happen are probably slim.
Rigondeaux has continued to vent a lot of his frustrations on social media in the recent days following Lomachenko’s win.
News emerged this week that UFC fight star Conor McGregor gained a professional boxing license in the State of California and Rigondeaux had this observation:
Rigondeaux on Conor McGregor:
Watch, all of these so call champs going 2keep running and at d end d only one tough enough to call me out is going to be @TheNotoriousMMA

He also went on to say:
It is really too bad that some of the #Champions on my sport don’t have what it takes to demand fighting the best from their promoters. pic.twitter.com/3DOLOScwcZ

Rigondeaux has only fought twice in the last two years and continues to find it difficult to land matchups of any substantial interest.
