UFC president Dana White has slammed talks of a Mayweather-McGregor boxing match and has had some strong words for Mayweather and his team directly this Christmas season.
A story that has persisted throughout the holiday season has been that of the ongoing Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor situation, where some days it seems a potential fight is not going to happen, while others it seems like it is getting close again.
UFC president and head honcho Dana White has poured cold water over the much hyped social media rumors however and said that it will:
“Never happen.”
In an interview that went slightly under the radar (at least in hardcore boxing circles) with the folks at TMZ YouTube (hat tip and credit) this holiday season – White also directed these extroverted words to Mayweather and his team:
It seems White is interested in getting the UFC and himself some added PR out of this already magnified social media debate too.
The reality of the fight happening seems not likely however at this time, despite recent call outs like this one from Irishman McGregor during the holiday season at Mayweather.
The Mayweather-McGregor soap opera continues with no definitive end to it in sight just yet.
