Amir Khan on Ronda Rousey, her loss to Brazilian Amanda Nunez in the UFC, where she went wrong boxing-wise and what he thinks her future is now.
Amir Khan is no stranger to suffering devastating defeats in the ring having been stopped conclusively in the past against fighters such as Bredis Prescott, Danny Garcia and most recently Canelo Alvarez.
He knows a thing or two about bouncing back from crushing defeats.
However he’s not convinced that UFC female fighter Ronda Rousey will ever be seen in the Octagon again following her 48 second first round stoppage to Brazilian Amanda Nunez.
Speaking to ES News Khan said:
“It’s the way Ronda got beat. When she got hit with a good shot she was in shock. It’s like she froze in the fight, she was too hesitant to go in there and fight. Her confidence wasn’t there. I think she’s done man.”
Since her loss at UFC many think that Rousey will retire following back to back stoppage defeats and in recent days we looked back here at the decision for prestigious boxing magazine The Ring to put Rousey on their front cover in 2015 as a tad premature, in hindsight.
