World featherweight champion Carl Frampton thinks he’ll knock Leo Santa Cruz out in their rematch later this month in Las Vegas.
The two will get together in the ring for a second time later this month on January 28th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas after a thrilling first encounter in 2016 that many thought was fight of the year.
On that occasion Frampton emerged victorious on points at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York but Santa Cruz no doubt will be fired up and motivated at an all time high to try to reclaim his WBA Super featherweight world title this month.
Carl Frampton thinks however that the outcome will be more conclusive this time – when speaking to Sky Sports News:
The betting odds for such an outcome of a Frampton stoppage will get you around the 7/2 mark at the time of this article.
If you are thinking of backing what the champion is predicting that is.
The bookmakers think this fight is a close one again however, with Frampton just shading Santa Cruz at the moment as favorite with the odds makers to win the bout outright.
But as we all know, odds can count for little in this explosive sport that we call boxing.
Carl Frampton recently spoke here on what he learned from the first fight with Santa Cruz and it will be interesting to see what adjustments both men make second time round.
