Katie Taylor On David Haye vs Tony Bellew Undercard

Ireland’s female boxing sensation Katie Taylor has been added to next month’s pay per view event in the UK.

The event will take place at the 02 Arena in London and will offer her another massive exposure opportunity to further propel both her star and women’s professional boxing.

The Haye vs Bellew main event has already attracted a large amount of interest and with Taylor having appeared on the under card of the ultra popular IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua already, her name is certainly getting put out there.

The opponent is to be confirmed at a later date but it is also expected that Taylor will then box again quickly after – with a tentative date on April 29th also booked in.

That will see her have by far the biggest platform for her boxing skills to date, on the already sold out 90,000 ticket bonanza that is Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley Stadium.

Since turning pro late in 2016 Taylor has quickly gone 2-0 (1KO) and will be looking to stay busy throughout 2017.

Already a big star in Ireland, it will be interesting to see how Eddie Hearn and co manage to promote her outside of the Emerald Isle over the coming years as part of the overall world female boxing landscape.

Female boxing in the UK and Ireland appears to be gaining some momentum at the moment, particularly with the news in early 2017 that another Olympic Gold medallist Nicola Adams from Leeds is also turning pro.
