Brook vs Spence Jr terms have been agreed to says Eddie Hearn with an official announcement expected soon.
The boxing internet world has been in over drive this evening with the exciting news that the much clamored for Kell Brook vs Errol Spence Jr fight looks set to happen.
Speaking on Twitter a short time ago, Brook’s promoter Eddie Hearn said:
“Terms agreed for @SpecialKBrook v @ErrolSpenceJr -full announcement coming soon -fight will take place in the UK. Best fight in the division.”
Music to the ears of fight fans.
It’s a fight that no one can accuse Brook of trying to take an easy way out in, with Spence Jr being one of the most gifted in the division – and indeed world boxing.
Many had thought Brook would move up to super-welterweight following his defeat at middleweight in 2016 to Golovkin, particularly given the well know struggle he has with making the weight.
Luckily for fight fans however they’ll get to see him in at least one more genuine 50/50 fight in the 147lbs weight class, against Spence Jr.
