This round 3 between Baranchyk vs Ramos is surely up there for an early round of the year contender thus far.
Undefeated Russian super-lightweight Ivan Baranchyk (14-0-10KO) ultimately came out on top with a unanimous decision over Abel Ramos (17-2-2-12KO).
But not after one hell of a fight.
The fight took place this past Friday night at the Buffalo Run Casino, Miami in Oklahoma, USA.
It was for the USBA super-lightweight title and boy, it didn’t disappoint.
But perhaps the best round of the evening came in number three – where both men knocked each other down and got back up.
It’s rounds like this that makes you happy to be a boxing fan.
The folks at Showtime YouTube (hat tip and credit) have uploaded it below – check out this three minutes of sweet science mayhem.
(Baranchyk vs Ramos round 3)
Talk about cojones, eh?
Although we are only in February 2017, it could very well be up there as a contender for round of the year come December.
24 year old Baranchyk moves on with a new belt and continues to climb the 140lbs rankings.
A division stacked with talent at the moment.
Don’t be surprised if this young Russian fighter who is now basing himself in the States starts to knock on the door of a world title in the coming years.
