‘One Time’ Keith Thurman on Errol Spence ability to beat IBF welterweight world champion Kell ‘Special K’ Brook.
Thurman besides being an excellent world champion, comes across as a man who really studies the history of the sport of boxing and indeed the technical nuances that go along with the rich history of the sweet science.
Kell Brook vs Errol Spence Jr this May is probably one of the most 50/50 fights in world boxing made in 2017 so far.
So many questions come up on how both men will deal with each other, and in particular, how the young Spence will handle the more experienced Brook.
Perhaps few are more qualified to call Spence’s chances than Thurman and speaking to Fight Hype, Thurman noted:
“I do consider Kell Brook a little bit of a hard fight.”
He added later:
“I do rate it as a potentially close fight. I think Errol may have the ability to hurt Kell Brook more than Brook has the ability to hurt Errol. I’m pretty sure Spence is going to go for a knockout, because he’s going overseas.”
