The Canelo vs Chavez Jr tickets have formally gone on sale today ahead of the all Mexican clash in May on Cinco De Mayo weekend.
No doubt these tickets will sell quick, given the popularity of both fighters in the Mexican and American boxing markets, and indeed around the world.
The tickets are being priced at $1,500, $1,250, $1000, $800, $600, $400, $300, $200, $125 and $75, not including any relevant service charges by the ticket provider.
To buy them by phone we have been told that fans can phone 888-9-AXS-TIX (888-929-7849) in the US.
Tickets will also be available for sale at the following two websites:
Boxing News and Views have been informed that tickets for the event are officially on sale today as of now.
The fight will take place at the T-Mobile Arena on Saturday May 6th, 2017.
From a stylistic perspective it’s one I’ll be intrigued to watch.
Two men who can come to fight as good as any when they want to in top level boxing.
The main question that I think exists for many surrounds Chavez Jr’s ability to make the weight.
He’ll have a bit of a size and strength advantage if he makes the weight (healthily) over Canelo.
So it will be interesting to see how Alvarez copes with potentially being physically pushed back for the first time in his career.
By all accounts Chavez Jr is training ferociously with his weight already considerably down.
So expect this to be an entertaining Mexican battle come May.
