Breazeale Shows Massive Heart To KO Izuagbe Ugonoh

Dominic Breazeale take a bow sir. That fight is what heavyweight boxing is all about.

Many will remember American Dominic Breazeale for his unsuccessful challenge against IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in 2015.

But tonight he showed what he’s all about.

Breazeale

Breazeale is typically in good fights – but this one was a little bit special though.

He squared off with previously unbeaten Las Vegas-based Izuagbe Ugonoh and had to ship some heavy artillery from him at multiple stages of the evening.

The end eventually came in the 5th round via a TKO win for Breazeale.

But what a thriller from start to finish. What a fight.

A knockdown for Breazeale in the 3rd round and then a knockdown for Ugonoh in the fourth. It was action packed battle while it lasted.

Ugonoh went to the body of Breazeale well at times in the fight and also showed some massive right hands.

Breazeale was not to be denied though, physically knocking his opponent out of the ring at the end of the bout.

That win by Joshua looks a bit more impressive last year now – a fight at the time that the IBF champion was criticised for taking.

Onwards and upwards for Breazeale now.

With performances like that tonight no doubt he’ll be back in the mix sooner rather than later.

The win improved his pro boxing record to 18-1-16KO.
