Boxing News and Views’ Peter Moss caught up with heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder’s promoter Lou DiBella following his charge’s successful defence this past weekend over Gerald Washington.
The match took place in the US as part of a Premier Boxing Champions event.
It was a fight that Alabama native Wilder won in convincing fashion, stopping the ex-Navy Veteran and football player inside the distance in front of his hometown fans.
After the fight our own Peter Moss spoke with head honcho at DiBella Entertainment, Lou DiBella, on what he thought of Deontay’s performance and what his future plans are next in 2017.

Good news for boxing fans that Deontay has said that the unifications are what he would like, and that’s what he’s made “very clear” in the ring as per DiBella above.
In terms of the other champions out there currently, there is IBF champion Anthony Joshua, and the likes of WBO champion Joseph Parker.
Long reigning ex-champ Wladimir Klitschko and Joshua meet on April 29th in a 90,000 stadium bonanza in the UK.
The winner of the fight no doubt will firmly be in the sights of Wilder.
Following his win last night Deontay Wilder improved his professional boxing record to 38-0-37KO.
