Few are probably more qualified to call this weekend’s world welterweight title unification in the US – than a fellow top level American welterweight like Shawn Porter.
Porter has shared the ring in his last fight against one of this weekend’s protagonists too, Keith Thurman.
On that night back in June 2016 Thurman ran out the victor via a unanimous decision at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York.
Porter has since been rebuilding and training diligently.
I can testify first hand having seen him work here in his gym in Vegas back in December.
He is punching very, very hard.
Here’s his prediction on how the Danny Garcia vs Keith Thurman fight will go:

Not too surprising that he’s leaning towards the man that beat him last time out, but as he mentions above, Garcia is not to be written off by anyone.
With only four days to go both fighters are in their final stages of weight cutting now – with all the hard work done in the gym by this point.
Neither look like they have left any stone un-turned judging from training footage out there at the moment, which bodes well for fans on Saturday night.
Bombs away in this one.
