Mayweather has been on his UK tour all week as he announced his world champion Gevonta Davis’ next fight will be in the UK this May against Liam Walsh.
Fans and members of the boxing community alike have been eager to meet Mayweather and see what the former pound for pound world number one has had to say about his career at the various events he’s held.
There’s no denying that Mayweather is a global sports star and it’s understandable there are so many people wanting his time and attention.
However one UK professional fighter wasn’t of that ilk, at all.
His name is Ohara Davies – an undefeated super-lightweight who is currently 15-0 (12KO) and holds the WBC silver title in his weight class.
Mayweather’s fighter Davis is world champion at two weight classes below Davies so a fight in the future is unlikely.
Although that didn’t stop Ohara Davies speaking about him and more to Mayweather here – letting him know at the end that the UK is the new world capital of boxing:

He certainly didn’t back down to Mayweather there, as probably a lot of other boxers who might have been in awe of him would have.
