A Tony Bellew James Bond villain acting role is something that interests the Liverpool boxer after his heavyweight win over David Haye.
I have to say, when coming across this Tony Bellew James Bond villain story this morning, it certainly isn’t something we’d stumble across in our usual daily boxing news intake.
Since beating Londoner David Haye, opportunities seem to be opening up left right and centre for Liverpool’s Tony Bellew.
He netted a career high pay day from the fight thought to be worth well over £2 million pounds, has been linked with a fight against WBC heavyweight champion of the world Deontay Wilder – and now this.
The Mirror have reported this morning that Bellew has said:
“I would really like to be the next Bond villain.”
Well, if that’s what floats your boat Tony – why not? It’s not like he’s a stranger to Hollywood anyway having played a leading role in movie ‘Creed’ not too long ago:
For fans of the James Bond movies just imagine that Scouser accent as a villain going after Bond… Comedy Gold perhaps? Check.
On a more serious boxing note.
It is unclear what Bellew will do next and in what division, but speculation has mounted that he may in fact stay in the heavyweight division for another big fight.
He is currently the WBC cruiseriweight world champion so if he wants to keep that belt, one would imagine he will announce his plans in the near future should he opt to go back down to defend the title.
For those that didn’t see his win over David Haye recently – here’s the moment he closed the show.
