Liverpool boxer Tony Bellew gets surgery on his hand following David Haye fight where he caused a massive upset and beat the Londoner.
Many after the fight knew that David Haye suffered a significant injury to his Achilles, which was clearly visible from round 6 onwards.
Essentially Haye boxed on one leg until round 11 before Bellew closed the show and Haye’s trainer Shane McGuigan was forced to throw in the towel.
Haye showed massive heart to battle on with the above injury but not many realised on the night however that Bellew himself also had a bad injury occur.
A broken hand no less. He boxed through the pain ultimately to pull off one of the biggest upsets of the modern boxing era in British boxing.
He will now sit out for quite sometime before looking at what’s next but this morning he has given the following update to his fans.

Good news for Tony Bellew fans no doubt.
His promoter Eddie Hearn after the fight mentioned that he thinks Bellew might only have one or two fights left in
his career. Whether or not he stays at heavyweight remains to be seen.
This week Bellew was quoted as saying he would like to be the next James Bond villain so perhaps a return to the acting world could also await the Scouser.
