The final obstacle to a Mayweather vs McGregor boxing match happening was thought to be that of McGregor’s current employers the UFC and most notably, their President Dana White. Not the case anymore though as below’s latest video conveys.

White had changed his tune considerably yesterday on a possible Mayweather vs McGregor boxing match happening on his watch.

But now he’s gone a step further.

Speaking live on Conan O’Brien’s massive TV show in the United States, White has conceded that in fact he now believes the boxing match will happen because:

“There is so much money involved I just don’t see how it doesn’t happen.”

His full video response to the question from O’Brien is below. Well, that seems like the last hurdle is out of the way for this boxing match to take place.

Granted, it will be a freak show and a spectacle of the more extreme promotional proportions – but one can’t begrudge the young Irishman McGregor such a spectacular pay day in my opinion.

The reality is we all know McGregor doesn’t have a hope in hell in a Mayweather vs McGregor boxing match. But it’s something that will attract more eyes on the sport of boxing, ultimately.

Surely that can only be a positive thing for boxing.
